Wednesday ICU (Day 15)

Alex slept well but her trach area is seeping blood. Her hrt rate tends to run high, up & down. I think it is discomfort. Another procedure may be ordered for the trach...this is their top issue. Mine is fighting to get her away from the pain, the bright lights and lab needles at 2am while they poke her several places trying to draw blood. Mine is whispering words of comfort while trying to hug her across a medi bed. I brought her favorite purse, jeans, etc to her yesterday and whispered that they were here hanging behind her, ready for her to get up and get dressed. Her responses are mild in the last 2 days, but considering her hard work, she probably just wants to be left alone for awhile. Her day nurse is Pete, her night nurse was Drew. Keep praying and visualizing her up, hanging out, being happy and send those thoughts to her ...again and again

    Yes, we continue to pray for Alex (and for God to give YOU strength as well). You guys are very much in our thoughts on a daily basis. Hang in there Lisa.

    good plan to bring stuff from home Make the room as much as a place for her to feel safe and warm Those rooms are so cold.....

    The put a shunt in chloes blood vessels to get blood better maybe you should ask them about that That way she does look like a pin cushion
