Working on some homework up here with Alex. Its cool & quiet in her little ICU cubbie. The nurse and careworker just moved her and cleaned her up. Alex has been overall stable with vitals, trach doing fairly well. Her interaction is still a bit sluggish, but she did
open her eyes several more times this evening than she had yesterday. Still working on the other responses. Seems to have a bit of trouble regulating her heart rate and this is being watched closely and worked with to determine the best method for managing it. She is resting now at about 115-118, which is a relief since she was averaging between 120 and 145 most of the day...like running aerobics. I would hug her, try to calm her by singing (I can't sing so that did not work well). No matter what, we all know she is a warrior. Keep praying, God is blessing her with progress every day. Goodnight.
You're doing such a great job looking after your baby girl!!! I miss you guys! Please tell Alex that we are praying for her everyday. *hugs*!!!
